Family Pack vs Gift Box Crackers: Which Should You Buy This Diwali?
• SoundWave Crackers, Sivakasi
Not everyone wants to read a hundred-line price list. A ready-made assortment – a family pack or a gift box – takes the choosing off your hands. They are not the same thing, though, and picking the right one depends on who it is for.
What is a cracker gift box?
A gift box is a single, factory-packed carton holding a fixed mix of crackers: usually sparklers, flower pots, chakkars, pencils and a few sound crackers. Boxes come in several sizes, named by the number of items inside. They are designed to be handed over as they are, which is why companies and families buy them for staff, relatives and neighbours.
Good for: gifting, corporate orders, and buyers who want one neat parcel per household.
What is a family pack?
A family pack is an assortment we put together from our own catalogue, sized for a household's whole celebration. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what is in a pack – every item, its content and its quantity – before you pay. Family packs usually hold more full-size items than a gift box of the same price, because they are made for bursting, not presentation.
Good for: a family that wants a complete, balanced Diwali without building an order line by line.

When to build your own order instead
Assortments are a compromise. If your family loves multishots and never touches bombs, or the children go through two hundred sparklers in an evening, you will get more of what you enjoy by choosing item by item. A common approach is to buy one family pack as the base and add extra boxes of the things your family always runs out of.
The Quick Purchase page makes that easy: the whole catalogue in one table, with packs and single items side by side.
Buying for several households
Ordering gift boxes for staff, relatives or a residents' association? Put them all in one order to meet the ₹3,000 minimum easily and save on transport. Then split them up on arrival.
Our recommendation
- Giving them away? Gift boxes.
- Celebrating at home and short on time? A family pack.
- Know exactly what your family likes? Build your own, or start with a pack and add to it.
